There are many confusing words in English and many of them can be in pairs. It is interesting to know the difference to be able to write better. However, because of the ever increasing invasivness of USA English (remember that the USA does not have an official language, I think only 3 states have officially taken English, based on OK English) there has been a tendency to use some of these wordas in an incorrect way.
